    hi mate,

    cartomisers that come with the tank do have the flange, but it can also be used with normal dual coils….you just need to punch a hole with a small nail or slit with a hacksaw at the same height

    you won’t get any leaks etc as the o rings create a tight seal around the cartomiser……the tank will be able to move up and down slightly but as long as you are mindful of that it won’t be a problem.

    do a search for “Smoketech dual coil cartomiser” to find them

    cheers

    @igetcha69
    I never realised that it was a either this or that case!
    About the Boge cartos. I thought they need to have that extra “rim” near the threads so that they sit tight into the recession of the Puff Daddy end cap. I haven’t found, yet, Boge cartos that have a rim like the Smokteck cartos. Are you saying I won’t have leaking without it? And more importantly, where can I find Boge XL cartos to fit my tank? I suppose the standard ones fit the 3ml tanks.
    Caution, noob here :)

    hi mate,

    unfortunately each tank is specifically designed to be used with specific cartomisers or clearomisers…….so if you buy a clearomiser tank then you won’t be able to use cartomisers with it and vice versa :(

    get yourself some stainless steel Boge cartomiers to use in your cartomiser tank……they work brilliantly for vapour as well as flavour ;)

    cheers

    Scott I really appreciate your work. Just got Puff Daddy from ecigwzrd and tried to combine it with a clearo rather than the original carto but the drip tip has nothing to hold on & just goes through into the tank.Am I missing something or is there a design difference between PD and MC? Have you tried using a clearo with ACTv3 or Lil mama? Don’t know why but I get just vapour out of several different pre-punched cartos and absolutely NO flavour. Thus the clearos.

    I have the MC Tank and think it’s awesome. A word of caution to Americans considering this tank. The clear o that comes installed is an older version and it’s dimensions at the connector end are different than the latest clear o’s on the market in the states. The latest version clear o’s will not fit the base of the Mc tank . So my Mc tank is collecting dust because the older clear’ os are not available. If you can find older clear o’s for replacement, I say get this tank.

    @KiggaLeon

    hi mate,

    it can only be used with the clearomisers

    cheers

    scott

  10. KiggaLeon says:

    hey lol one more question scotty, can this mc tank be used with a boge carto or a dual coil carto? looks like it might be a tight fit.

  11. igetcha69 says:

    @KiggaLeon

    hi mate,

    check out my reviews on the Lil Mama or the ACTv3…….you will then be able to see that the position of the hole is pretty much level with the bottom of the tank, so very little juice is left when vaped dry ;)

    cheers

    scott

    @KiggaLeon

    hi mate,

    the short answer to your question is…….yes, lol

    the main advantage is that it means you can go far longer without the need to keep refilling, but with this particular tank system it still unfortunately gets the wicking problems once the tank starts to get too low……other than that though, its great tank system :D

    cheers

    scott

    ps…i would recommend going for a carto tank like the ACTv3 or Lil Mama (see my reviews) as they work flawlessly with no wicking problems

  13. KiggaLeon says:

    By the way, since DCC tanks use DCCs to perform, does the performance raise or drop? How does a DCC tank fully use the liquid in the tank? I saw that there was only two holes placed in the sides of these cartos and they dont place them at the bottom. More or less at the bottom half of the carto. How does it drain the tank fully? Or it doesnt? Waste of alot of liquid then. Thanks in advance Scott, I know you try and answer every question on here, your a very helpful person. Lata bro!

  14. KiggaLeon says:

    hey scott,
    since this tank uses a clearomizer, doesn’t it perform just like that clearomizer would if it was used with its original carto tube? I never understood that about tanks..they’re just bigger tubes that houses more eliquid yet, they perform sooo much better..know of the reason why? thanks a bunch. and also, which tank would you recommend to someone who only plans on buying one? Ive heard of map tanks, DCC tanks, VPX tanks and now, this tank. So which one would suit a vaper best?

  15. igetcha69 says:

    @joselising

    hi mate,

    I’ve not had any leaks from the MC Tank whatsoever, but its always advisable to store tanks upright ;)

    cheers

    scott

  16. joselising says:

    does this leak when i store it side down?

    @GrimLP

    hi mate,

    lol, got too excited eh! :D

    well you made a good choice with the Silver Bullet……..its a very nice mod that is built to last and I’m sure you will enjoy it very much!

    I’ve never used the MAP Tank and know little about it unfortunately, but if you check out some MAP Tank vids on YouTube then you should get a pretty good idea on how to set it up correctly

    regarding e-liquid, well i would suggest starting off with either a 18mg or 24mg strength

    cheers

    scott

  18. GrimLP says:

    @igetcha69 Actually, I got too anxious and bought a silver bullet with a DCT MAP Tank. I bought that because the normal map tank wasn’t available. Do you have any experience with it? I would have bought the arry carto tank you reviewed, but again, it wasn’t available. Although, can you recommend a good juice for a beginner? Something mild flavored, maybe tobacco, with a moderate amount of nicotine levels?

    @GrimLP

    hi mate,

    due to the comment restrictions, i think it will be easier to reply to you via a YouTube message………im pretty busy right at this moment, but will send you a message and answer your question later on today ;)

    cheers

    scott

    Hey Scott, haven’t started vaping yet, but I plan on it. Your videos have been an huge help. I’m the type of guy who doesn’t want to spend a lot of time changing things out, like batteries, parts, juice, etc. Would you recommend a tank like this for me? Also, which device do you find holds a charge the longest? Provari looks nice, but it’s a lot of gimmick that I don’t want. I’d be fine with a static voltage around 4-5 volts. I appreciate your response.
